Statistics released Monday by the Israel Airports Authority show a drop of more than 17 percent in the number of travellers who went through Ben Gurion International Airport in February, when compared with February 2008. The number of international flights was down eight percent, while domestic flights rose by 11 percent.
The popular getaway destination of Turkey saw a 50 percent drop in traffic from Israel.
