The family of the tractor terrorist who tried to kill Israelis at the southern end of the Begin highway Thursday claimed that the incident was a traffic accident. Similar reactions were uttered by families of three other terrorists who used their cars tractors and bulldozers to murder and wound Israelis in the capital in the past 12 months.
The 26-year-old tractor driver, Mir'i Radeideh, prayed at a mosque next to his house in the Beit Hanina neighborhood shortly before the attack. However, Radeideh did not wear a beard, a sign of Muslims who are extremely religious, according to his brother. He told Voice of Israel government radio Friday morning that his brother was a family man who was happy with life and could not be a terrorist.
