A yeshiva in the city of Elad, east of Tel Aviv, called in police Tuesday to neutralize explosives that students had collected and hung on their dormitory rooms as souvenirs. The weapons included a grenade launcher, artillery shells and parts of artillery shells, mostly from nearby areas next to training grounds of IDF special forces.

Police officials said they explained to the students that the “souvenirs” contain potentially explosive material. After the explanation, the students brought out more weapons for the sappers to take away and detonate in safe areas.
