A Gaza donors conference is expected to begin in Sharm el-Sheikh on Monday. Representatives from 75 countries are participating in the conference whose purpose is to gather funds for the renovation of Gaza after Operation Cast Lead.
The Palestinian Authority is hoping to gather up to 3 billion dollars of funds towards the renovation. The U.S. has already pledged 900 million dollars, of which 300 million will go directly to Gaza and 600 million to the Palestinian Authority.
