Anti-Semitic vandals smashed a window at a synagogue in Yaroslavl, Russia, following similar incidents every several weeks, according to the Union of Councils for Jews in the Former Soviet Union. However, the local Jewish community said it would not report the latest attack to the police.
In Kemerovo, Russia, a court issued a suspended sentence against a man who was convicted of inciting violence against Jews and Muslims. He had posted articles on his website blog calling for “terrorist actions” and “acts of violence” against Jews and Muslims in order to bring about “their physical annihilation.”
