Heavy rain is falling in the north and will spread to the center region following one to inches of precipitation that drenched most of Israel on the Sabbath. The rain is expected to end by Tuesday morning and will be followed by warmer and drier weather.
By Thursday, hazy conditions will prevail prior to a dramatic change that will bring more rain and a plunge in temperatures from 16-20 Celsius/ 61-68 Fahrenheit to as low as 2-6 C/36-43 F by Saturday night. Snow will fall on the Hermon but is not expected to spread to the hills of the Galilee or Judea and Samaria.
The long range forecast calls for the rain to continue through next Sunday and Monday.
