A spokesperson for the Popular Resistance Committee, one of the terror groups that planned and carried out the kidnapping of IDF soldier Gilad Shalit, said Saturday that the soldier has been injured during Operation Cast Lead. He refused to say whether the injury was serious, or any other specific information. "All information has a price, and we are firm on our commitment not to reveal anything about him, in accordance with Palestinian interests," the terror group spokesperson said.
He added that Shalit was being held in a "very secure" location, and was surrounded by top Hamas terrorists. Directly responsible for Shalit is the commander of Hamas' military wing, Ahmed al-Jabbari. The spokesperson emphasized that the terrorists were willing to hold Shalit indefinitely, for as long as it takes Israel to release the full number of terrorists demanded by Hamas – about 1,400 altogether, Israeli sources say.
