Israel Police have arrested two men in the Japan Hassidic drug-smuggling case

The names of the arrested Israelis, who are dressed and behave like religiously-observant men, are Miller and Eisenbach.  A lawyer close to the case informed Israel National News that the hierarchy in the case was as follows: Top drug sharks in Israel, whom the police are now pursuing, gave the orders to Miller, who gave the orders to Eisenbach, who transmitted them to a known person who is hiding somewhere in Europe, who asked the unsuspecting yeshiva boys to take the package as a favor.

The three Hassidic youths, given $1,000 each for their efforts, were told that the package contained antiques, placed in the false bottom of a suitcase “in order to prevent breakage or theft.”  They are now on trial in Japan for carrying $3.6 million worth of Ecstasy into the country, and face many years in prison.

Widely criticized in Israel for their naivety, the boys are the subject of prayers in religious Jewish communities all over the world, which are also helping to raise money for their legal costs.
