(IsraelNN.com) Chairman Daniel Hershkovitz of the Bayit Yehudi (Jewish Home) party said Sunday that he does not rule out a national unity government, adding that the party will not join a party that does not agree with the Bayit Yehudi platform. Hershkovitz spoke after what he called a good get-acquainted meeting with Chairman Eli Yishai of the Shas party.

The Technion professor denied reports that his party would merge with Likud. He also denied he would give up his Knesset seat if offered a ministry so as to allow MK Nissim Slomiansky to stay in the Knesset.
