The Central Bureau of Statistics announced Thursday that the actual voter percentage in Tuesday’s election was approximately seven percent higher than that reported by the Central Elections Committee. According to the Bureau, 72.1 percent of Israelis voted.

The Bureau explained that the Elections Committee announced what percent of eligible Israelis voted. However, according to the Bureau, over half-a-million eligible voters live outside of Israel. Few of them return to vote, so they should not be included in the calculation.
