A fierce winter storm is expected to bring welcome rain but potentially damaging high winds on Election Day. Rain will begin in the north late Monday night and will spread to the central region and possibly the northern Negev on Tuesday, Election Day.

The heaviest precipitation is expected in the interior regions, especially in the area of the Kinneret and the hilly areas of the Galilee and Golan Heights where streams flowing into the lake will help raise the extremely low level.

Today (Monday) will be unseasonably warm, and the unwanted warm and dry weather will return on Thursday and Friday.
