Kadima has almost closed the gap and is nearly tied with the Likud but has no chance of forming the next government, according to a Friday poll carried out by the Dialog survey firm in conjunction with Haaretz. If elections were held today, Likud would win 27 seats in the Knesset, compared with 25 for Kadima and 14 for Labor.
Israel Is Our Home (Yisrael Beiteinu) continues to gain and now has 18 mandates, the poll revealed, giving Likud chairman Binyamin Netanyahu a probable coalition of 66 MKs, four more than the absolute majority of 61 needed to head the next administration.
