(IsraelNN.com) United States viewers spent much of their visual time watching the Arabic Al Jazeera satellite news network during Operation Cast Lead, according to a report by the Associated Press.

American viewers did not watch the network on cable television, however, but rather on the internet, where the station streamed English-language video from Gaza through the use of the microblogger Twitter website. Graphic images of dead and injured Palestinian Authority Arab residents, particularly women and children, were flashed around the world using the technology, garnering great sympathy from Muslims and others.
