Selected grades are scheduled to go back to school in Gan Yavneh on Monday, following the Gaza cease fire announced Saturday night by Israel. The decision to resume classes at schools with protected areas was made at a security appraisal on Sunday. The schools will also be staffed by soldiers from the Homefront Command, who will conduct safety drills.
Going back to school are:
-Students in the 11th and 12th grades at ORT-Yitzchak Rabin High School.
-Sixth graders at Maccabim, Ilan Ramon, Sinai and Ben-Gurion schools, whose classrooms meet the Homefront Command's standards.
-Children in the central building of the Poalim community center's kindergarden will meet in the center's shelter and the shelter of the sports center on Halamish St. on the basis of a short day from 8:00am to 1:00 pm. Parents have been notified.
