Buoyed by Gaza cease fire and the discovery of natural gas off the Haifa coast, shares rose on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange on Sunday. The Maof index of the 25 most active stocks closed 1.81 percent higher at 678.46. The TA-100 closed at 609.68, up 3.26 percent.
The Tel-Tech rose 2.97 percent to 147.20, while the real-estate index closed at 163.82, up 3.44 percent.
