The cabinet's decision to approve a unilateral ceasefire in Gaza without the release of kidnapped IDF soldier Gilad Shalit was “a death sentence for Gilad,” activists said Saturday night. Earlier in the evening friends of Gilad warned that his life was at stake, and held rallies calling to include the young soldier in any ceasefire deal.
Activists said they would continue to protest and call attention to Shalit's plight.
