Two are moderately to critically injured from smoke inhalation resulting from a massive fire which erupted in an Ashdod chemical plant on Wednesday.
Fire fighters are attempting to control the fire while chemicals explode at the Agan Chemicals factory in Ashdod’s industrial area. Out of concern for chemical pollution, residents of the area are requested to remain in their homes and to seal their windows and doorways.
Although the cause of the fire is unknown, it is not related to a rocket attack. Fire brigades from the entire region have responded to the inferno.
