(IsraelNN.com) Samaria Council Head Gershon Mesika said Tuesday that he supports the Israeli who shot and killed an Arab who threw rocks at his vehicle. The incident occurred Tuesday evening as a resident of Emanuel drove near Ma'ale Shomron in Samaria.

Mesika said that the Israeli was in danger and shot in self defense. He added that since Operation Cast Lead began, there has been a sharp spike in the number of incidents in which Arabs burned tires, threw rocks and hurled Molotov cocktails at Jews.
