Nine Jewish organizations will be hosting the Jewish Community Inaugural Reception next Monday to celebrate the inauguration of Barack Obama as the 44th president of the United States.
The sold-out event, in which kosher hors d’oeuvres and drinks will be served, is to be held in a downtown D.C. hotel. For security purposes, the name of the hotel is only disclosed to ticket holders.
“This is an historic time in American history and we are excited that the Jewish community is coming together to celebrate the inauguration of Barack Obama,” said Ira Forman, executive director of the National Jewish Democratic Council, one of the sponsoring organizations of the event.
