The leftwing Citizen Rights Movement stated Monday evening that the attempt to exclude Arabs from representation in the Knesset is injurious to democratic rule in Israel.
“At the end, it is clear that the invalidation of the Arab parties will not be tolerated by the court system. The forceful trend of silencing oppositional votes is an attack on the right to choose and to be chosen, which is bound to cause drastic consequences to keeping intact parliamentary democracy in Israel,” stated the organization’s legal advisor.
