A number of leftist organizations have filed an appeal with the High Court, complaining that Gaza has suffered blackouts due to IDF counterterrorism operations in the area. In addition, the groups demanded that the IDF halt operations in certain areas in order to allow civilians to leave.

The state filed a response on Thursday saying the High Court was not the address for complaints against the IDF. However, the IDF is doing everything in its power to guarantee the normal flow of electricity to Gaza, state attorneys said.
