Israeli citizen Khaled Kashkush, of the Arab village of Kalanswa, was sentenced to four years in jail on Wednesday for giving information to Hizbullah. Kashkush was convicted of passing information to Hizbullah beginning in 2002.

Intelligence agents said the information provided by Kashkush was not detrimental to state security. However, the state called for a jail sentence, arguing that Kashkush's willingness to assist Hizbullah was a serious offense in and of itself.
