Knesset Members Toured the South Reported: 22:52 PM - Jan/07/09
(IsraelNN.com) Members of the Foreign and Security Knesset Committee, led by Knesset Member Tzachi Hanegbi, toured on Wednesday Be'er Sheva, Sderot, Ashkelon, and the Seroka Medical Center in Be'er Sheva. During their visit, the committee members met with mayors, Home Front officers, and were briefed on the preparations of the municipalities and the difficulties that the residents of southern Israel and the municipalities have to contend with since the outbreak of Operation Cast Lead. The mayors emphasized before the committee members that they bless the IDF on their military action and hope that the war against the Hamas will indeed achieve its goals and bring quiet and calm to the residents of the south. They feel that a short-term ceasefire is unacceptable. They demanded that only a long-term ceasefire would be beneficial and therefore demanded that the government achieves all its intended goals. The committee members also visited soldiers who are hospitalized at Seroka Medical Center. The high level of morale and the deep conviction of the injured soldiers who want to return to their units as soon as possible impressed the committee members. ![]() Check out the Chill Zone - Funny, Entertaining Videos © IsraelNN Syndications - This article may not be republished freely.
