A woman was arrested Tuesday afternoon by Border Guards at the Maarat Hamachpelah Cave of the Patriarchs in Hevron after she tried to stab one of them with a knife. The officers fired in the air before arresting the woman.

The attack came shortly after the troops arrested a man carrying a knife wrapped up in a Hamas flag at the site. No injuries were reported in either incident.
