Prayer Rally for Pollard and More

“Free Jonathan Pollard” activists are calling on the public to arrive at the Western Wall at 3 PM for special prayers on behalf of Pollard, the soldiers at war, and all Jews in trouble, such as Gilad Shalit and those targeted by Hamas rockets.

The organizers seek to emphasize the responsibility of every Jew for his fellow Jew, on the backdrop of today’s Fast of Tevet. The fast marks the anniversary of the start of the Babylonian siege of Jerusalem before the destruction of the First Temple more than 2,500 years ago.

A special telephone line has been set up to allow Israelis to call the White House for the price of a local call and ask President Bush to pardon Jonathan Pollard before he leaves office. Pollard is in his 24th year behind bars for passing classified information to Israel. The special number is 077- 566-4305.
