A bus driver and off-duty border policeman reported what may have been an attempted terrorist attack on Monday night. The two were on a bus from Dimona to Be'er Sheva when a Bedouin passenger began arguing with the driver. At a certain point, the passenger grabbed the wheel of the bus, forced the vehicle into the shoulder of the road and threatened to steer it over a cliff.
The off-duty officer sprang from his seat and wrested the wheel out of the passenger's hands, preventing him from making good on his threat. The man was arrested and taken to the Dimona police station for investigation.
