IDF officials made it clear that any medicine shortage in Gaza was due to Hamas mismanagement and not an Israeli refusal to allow medicines through the crossings. Israel brings in medicine on a regular basis despite frequent mortar shell attacks on the crossings, IDF sources said.  Terrorist groups “bomb the crossings in a manipulative manner and prevent the Palestinian population from receiving this important equipment,” one source said.

Israel has denied a report that it is training two Israel Air Force squadrons to attack three Iranian nuclear facilities if international diplomacy fails to halt the program. "I totally reject the report," said a Foreign Ministry official. "Israel supports the immediate and full implementation of [United Nations] Security Council Resolution 1737." The resolution states that Iran must cease work on all nuclear development activities. Its compliance will be monitored by the International Atomic Energy Agency, (IAEA). The resolution also forbids supply, sale or transfer of related equipment or technology to the Islamic Republic.
