MK Gilad Ardan asked Minister of Communications Ariel Eties to shut down Al-Jazeera and other Arab network’s transmissions in Israel until after the war. Ardan claims that the networks propagate lies about the war in Gaza and incite Israel’s Arab population to violence.
Ardan quoted the news story propagated by Al-Jazeera of a kidnapped Israeli soldier as an example of a Hamas lie the network propagated. He claims the networks rely on Hamas’ claims and the Army Spokesman has to continuously contradict their lies.
