(IsraelNN.com) The family of senior Hamas terrorist Nizar Rayyan was almost completely wiped out in a strike on his house on Thursday afternoon, Gaza medical sources reported early Friday morning. The 15 civilians killed in the attack have been identified as all four of Rayyan's wives along with 11 out of his twelve children. Rayyan was warned by the IDF that his house was a target, but refused to evacuate.

Rayyan's sole surviving son said Thursday that he had not expected his father to be targeted. A thirteenth child died in a suicide attack on Gaza Jews several years ago.
