Be'er Sheva residents woke up a new rocket attack several minutes ago, but the point of impact was in an open area, causing no damage or injuries. Hamas targeted the capital of the Negev three times Wednesday morning before turning on Ashkelon, where President Shimon Peres was visiting at the same time.
Media were ordered not to report on his visit until he left the city, and it is not known if the timing of the attacks on the port city was coincidental or whether Hamas was informed of President Peres's schedule.
