Libyan ruler Moammar Kadafi ordered to withdraw the Arab League’s Arab Peace Initiative with Israel. According to Kadafi, there is no reason for an initiative when “Arabs are the only ones striving for peace.”
The Arab Peace Initiative was first proposed in 2002 by King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia in the Beirut Summit of the Arab League. The initiative obtained the unanimous consent of all members of the Arab League. Initially published in 2002 at the Beirut Summit, the initiative was ratified at the Riyadh Summit in 2007.
