While Israel began its Gaza operation, the Hebrew-language newspaper Yediot Achronot reported that a Gaza Arab whose house was hit by a Kassam rocket Friday was being treated at an Israeli hospital. The rocket was fired at Israel by Gaza terrorists but fell short of its target. Instead, it fell on the house of an Arab who lives near the border, and he was seriously injured by shrapnel that hit him in the head.

The Arab was taken to an Israeli hospital for treatment. Two of his children were also injured, and security officials are weighing whether to bring them to Israel for treatment as well.
