A march to Homesh planned for Sunday has been postponed, in solidarity with the attack on Gaza, organizers said. Shomron Regional Council head Gershon Mesika and chairman of the Shomron Residents Committee Benny Katsover said they were responding to a request by the IDF to postpone the march, in which thousands were expected to participate, because of the situation in Gaza.

The two issued a statement, saying that "the situation in Gaza is a proof of the urgent and immediate need to return to all the places in Gush Katif and northern Gaza we have been forced out of. Restoring Homesh, as Minister Eli Yishai said should be done, would be a step in the right direction," the statement said.
