Homefront Command Updates Web Site With Safety Info

The Homefront Command on Saturday updated its website for residents of the south, with detailed instructions on the steps to take in case of a rocket attack, and what to do if the "Color Red" alert siren is sounded, indicating that a rocket could be on its way. The site details how many seconds residents have in which to take cover in safe rooms, depending on how far they are from the Gaza border. Among the details, any public gathering in towns and villages within 10 kilometers of the border is forbidden at this time.

The site, http://www.oref.org.il, has more general information as well, on how to deal with earthquakes, chemical attacks, and other emergencies. The site has information in Hebrew, English, Russian and Arabic.
