The name of the Israeli victim of a rocket attack in Netivot Saturday morning has been released. The victim, 58-year-old Beber Vaknin, was killed when he went outside his house, which was hit by a rocket earlier Saturday. Details about his funeral have not yet been released. Ten other Israelis were injured during the day, one of them seriously.
The IDF reported Saturday night that Hamas terrorists had fired over 80 rockets at Israeli targets as of 8:00 p.m., six of them Grad-type Katyusha rockets. Officials said that Israel was prepared to absorb as many as 200 rockets a day during the course of the operation.
