After ninety minutes of calm from the heavy barrage of rocket attacks, at least two Kassams exploded in Israel on Wednesday evening.
At about 5:30 P.M., terrorists fired a Kassam rocket from northern Gaza towards Israel. The rocket exploded in an open area of the Shaar HaNegev regional council. Although the "Color Red" early warning system did not sound, no injuries were reported and no damage occurred.
A short while afterwards, a Kassam rocket exploded in an open area in Eshkol Regional Council area. Also in this attack, there were no injuries or damage.
At least 50 rockets and mortar shells were fired towards Israel on Wednesday evening. More than 40 Israelis were treated for shock. In addition, several buildings were extensively damaged.
