      Defense Minister Ehud Barak maintained that IDF military operations in Gaza have created enough pressure on Hamas to force the terrorist group to consider ending its attacks on southern Israel.       The United Nations Security Council imposed limited economic sanctions on Iran over the Islamic Republic’s ongoing nuclear development program. The resolution orders UN member nations to halt the sale of materials and technology that would aid Iran in its development plans.       MK (Labor) Danny Yatom, responding to remarks by Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee Chairman Dr. Yuval Steinitz, stated his plan would place Israel in the midst of another war. Steinitz called for an Operation Defensive Shield-2, a major counter-terrorism military land incursion into Gaza to bring a halt to rocket attacks.
