Rabbis associated with the Tekumah faction of the former National Union have scheduled a meeting for Saturday night to discuss whether or not to leave the Bayit Hayehudi party, according to Ynet. The meeting was called after the party failed on Thursday night to reach a decision on its future because of disappointment with the Bayit Hayehudi list for the Knesset elections in February.

MK Uri Ariel placed third on the list. Earlier in the evening, Moledet faction leader Rabbi MK Benny Elon announced his retirement from politics after finishing 17th on the Bayit Yehudi list for Knesset. Moledet announced on Thursday that it will run together with the Hatikvah party.
