The government intends on releasing 227 terrorists Monday. Prime Minister Ehud Olmert arranged for the release as a gesture to PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas in honor the Muslim Festival of the Sacrifice.
The release is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Prisoners in the Ofer Prison will be released at the Bitunia checkpoint and prisoners in the Shikmah prison will be released at the Erez checkpoint.
