Likud party chairman Knesset Member Binyamin Netanyahu plans to meet with 27 European Union (EU) envoys Thursday in an effort to convince them his party will pursue peace with the Palestinian Authority and Syria. However, he added that he initially must study what has been discussed by government officials in secret talks with Arabs.
He recently has touted an "economic peace plan" that is aimed at changing living conditions for the PA in order to prepare them for a stable country. United States Secretary of State-designate Hillary Clinton has criticized the plan unless it is part of a final agreement creating a new Arab country.
