Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Horowitz, the Bostoner Rebbe, expressed his shock on Tuesday at Prime Minister Olmert’s comments regarding nationalists who demonstrated against the expulsion of Jews from Hevron’s Peace House.
“I was shocked by the rumor that the prime minister attacked the Jews of Hevron, who exhibit sacrifice for the Land of Israel, labeling them law-breakers and their actions a pogrom,” Rabbi Horowitz stated, “Pogrom is used for those who have abandoned any semblance of humanity and exhibit animalistic behavior. We must pray that what occurred will not occur again in the future.”
