With large numbers of Border Police surrounding Peace House in Hevron, the newly-evicted residents were allowed to trickle in to take out their belongings on Friday. Journalists trying to cover the story have not been allowed to get near the house or its surrounding streets and alleys because the area is still a closed military area.

The evictees and their supporters say Defense Minister Ehud Barak was deceptive leading up to the eviction operation yesterday.
