MK Limor Livnat (Likud) said Thursday that the Supreme Court's decision against her petition to stop the current government from continuing diplomatic talks with Syria and the Palestinian Authority was important for what it does not allow the government to do.

Court president Dorit Beinisch wrote "The government and the prime minister must avoid, as much as possible, making irreversible decisions that will tie the hands of whichever government starts working after the elections." Livnat said the decision is important because it does not allow the prime minister or the foreign minister to do whatever they feel like doing.
