      Barak Praises Labor List


      At a meeting on Friday morning to announce the winners in Thursday's primary election, Labor party chairman called the list selected by the party's voters as the best team, which will stand the test in two weeks, after the Likud and Kadima choose their lists. Barak put the focus of the party on closing the gaps in society and the rule of law.

      He gave credit to the party's first-term Members of Knesset for changing the political scene and wished success to recent additions to the party who may not make it into the Knesset because of projections of poor results for the party. Barak said Labor would sit in the opposition if necessary, but expressed confidence that the party would be at the center of leadership for the people.
