Chairman of the Jewish Home political party, Knesset Member Uri Ariel, calls upon Ehud Barak, the Minister of Defense, to uphold the previously agreed upon terms to allow negotiations to continue, and to delay the eviction of the Peace House in Hevron.

“The heads of the Jewish community and I are acting to remove the rowdy youths from the area. However, it is forbidden to use them as an excuse to damage our rights to the home and to evict them. A forceful eviction will bring a new Amona and will cause difficult repercussions upon the IDF and the State,” Ariel added.

Residents of Amona, a village in Samaria, were forcibly evicted from their homes by Israeli security forces in 2005.
