The Labor Party's Election Committee decided Tuesday afternoon to stop the party's Knesset primary election and reschedule it for Wednesday December 10th, following computer problems that prevented people from registering their votes in a number of precincts across Israel. Several senior officials petitioned the committee for the deferment of the balloting, saying the results would be disputed.
It was the party's first attempt to use computers in place of the traditional paper ballots. The paper ballots will return next week, according to Maariv/nrg.
