MK Pines-Paz Asks Later Close for Labor Primaries

Member of Knesset Ofir Pines-Paz asked Labor Party Secretary-General Eitan Cabel on Tuesday morning to extend the closing time of the party Knesset primaries by an hour, due to computer problems that have kept people from voting in a number of precincts across the country, according to Ynet.

Pines-Paz said, "The problems are causing substantial delays. Everything must be done  so that the problems don't hurt the turnout and deprive party members of their right to vote and exercise their influence." A low turnout was feared even before the polls opened.
