The army has blamed Jews for overnight violence in Hevron ahead of the government's anticipated effort to evict the Jewish residents of Peace House, near the entrance to Kiryat Arba. Disturbances broke out after Arabs threw rocks at Jews in the area.Thirteen Jews were treated at the scene for light injuries.

A report by the IDF Spokesperson's Office starts its report on the incident by mentioning that hundreds of  Jews threw rocks at Arab houses and cars and damaged nearby cemeteries.The report says army, Border Guard and police forces repulsed "the rioters" and that the army condemned the violence.
