An army force in Shechem shot and killed a Fatach member who tried to escape an arrest operation late Monday night. The army says Muhamad Abu Dara was a member of the al-Aksa Martyrs' Brigades who was released from an Israeli prison under an amnesty agreement but returned to terror in violation of the agreement.

He was serving in the Palestinian Authority's Preventative Security Service at the time of his death.
