Likud Central Committee to Meet on Primaries Reported: 01:28 AM - Dec/02/08
(IsraelNN.com) The Likud Central Committee is scheduled to meet on Tuesday to decide on procedures for the Knesset primaries, scheduled for December 8th. The Likud Court ruled on Monday that changes to established procedures cannot be made without the approval of the 3,000-member committee. The ruling was seen as a victor for the Manhigut Yehudit Jewish Leadership faction, which accused party chairman Binyamin Netanyahu and other Likud officials of trying to torpedo its chances through changes in procedure. Netanyahu reportedly said that anyone making a support deal with Manhigut leader Moshe Feiglin would not serve as a cabinet minister in the likelihood that Netanyahu is elected prime minister. Feiglin responded by saying "Netanyahu can rest assured that I'm not making deals with any Member of Knesset." ![]() Check out the Chill Zone - Funny, Entertaining Videos © IsraelNN Syndications - This article may not be republished freely.
